2017 Oregon Cabernet Franc | Walla Walla AVA | Oregon
This special Oregon Cabernet Franc offering was sourced from two historically significant vineyards located on the Oregon side of the Walla Walla wine region. This harmonious blend of 100% Oregon Cab Franc combines east and west facing 18-20 year-old vines grown in silt loam soils at 865-880 feet in elevation and was made in a Loire Valley style.
The grapes were grown and produced from New World terroir, but the wine is Old-World by design. The final wine is stunningly complex and thought-provoking.
This limited offering is a true tribute to the premier wines out of the Loire Valley, but showcases bold, dark fruit flavors with plenty of structure and minerality. It has a low-alcohol elegance not often found in single varietal Oregon Cabernet Franc from the Walla Walla region.

Tasting Notes:
In the glass, you are met with compelling aromatics of graphite and dark cherry. The palate is silky, yet firm and lush, with dark cherry, plum and spice notes. It is a truly excellent, lower-alcohol wine that drinks more like a Loire Valley release than a wine from the Walla Walla AVA. This Oregon Cabernet Franc will age and enhance beautifully in the cellar for ten plus years.
